Designer Sunglasses

Designer shades are a wonderful way of making a fashion statement. You can choose to follow the trend or opt for a lesser-know designer and start your own by being different. A Google search will turn up any number of 'hot' and 'must have' sunglasses styles by a variety of well known and not-so-well-known designers. These styles are mirrored (!) on the stalls of most markets where you can find 'original-inspired' designs at a fraction of the price. Second hand shops are also a great source of cool and trendy shades. Very often, high-end originals from the 50s, 60s and 70s can be found for a few pounds. It is from such sources that many specialist retro dealers obtain their stock, which is then marked up accordingly and sold as 'rare retro shades'.

On the colour front, Purple, violet and lilac sunglasses in a variety of shades and styles continue to grace the catwalks of the world. Purple is a colour often associated with power, nobility, even royalty. Depending on the style of frame, purple shades can suggest high-end luxury, or 70s retro. Purple is a colour favoured by Eva Longoria, Beyonce Knowles and Victoria Beckham and, of course, Paris Hilton. There are few designer sunglasses collection that don't feature purple!
